SE Wisconsin Minis

The club received this letter from the AMHR National Youth Committee and we are posting it here for all that may be interested.  Our youth will be the ones to determine what happens with our miniature clubs, shows, and horses so we want to encourage them to participate, learn, and have fun doing it.

Hi everyone. The ASPC/AMHR Youth committee would like to take a few minutes to touch base with our local clubs to remind them of all the opportunities we have for our youth members.

Please take a few minutes out at your regular club meetings to inform the youth members and their parents of all that is offered to them.

1. There is a high point program available at local shows which are at no cost to the local club putting on the show.
2. The Youth Companion Award is also available and is a great program for those kids that do so much with their minis including parades, clinics, therapy work, nursing home visits and much more. This award is cumulative and your points stay with the horse/handler combo thru the years so everyone can have a chance to win something.
3. The Sue Price creative awards which are exhibited and voted on at Convention. The child does not have to be present.

There will also be a drawing for a wonderful working Ice Cream cart (this includes the EE cart as well) this drawing will take place at Nationals and winners do not need to be present. We have many more awards and scholarships available to the children of our registry.
